The Aqua Restaurant Group has over 25 venues spanning New York, Miami, Beijing, Dubai and Hong Kong, with multiple renditions of its Aqua brand in London. One of them is Aqua Nueva, located barely a minute’s walk from Oxford Circus, a sleek and stylish restaurant and bar serving Galicia cuisine from the north-west of Spain. With its central location, upmarket interiors and elegant tapas-style plates, it’s an impressive spot to host a private dining event, such as a business lunch or elegant dinner party.
There are two stunning private dining rooms on offer, the El Salon and La Casita, and both rooms can seat up to 15 guests, perfect for intimate sit-down dinners. Although spacious, the rooms feel cosy and personal thanks to dim lighting and a dark colour scheme. If you’re planning a more casual drinks reception where the tapas and wine is free-flowing, then La Casita also comes with its own beautiful private terrace and can accommodate up to 50 guests, standing. There is also the option to join both rooms, which together have the capacity to host 30 seated guests for a meal or 80 for a standing reception.
In addition to two dedicated private dining rooms, there is the option to hire Aqua Nueva’s bar and roof terrace for up to 100 guests, standing. The restaurant can also be hired for up to 170 people seated, or 250 standing, or go all out and hire the entire venue for up to 400.
Plates are designed for sharing and span plenty of Spanish classics, as well as many new and inventive creations. Look out for dishes such as Spanish tortilla with caramelised onion and Iberian ham, as well as manchego cheese and truffle croquettes, suckling pig tacos with black truffle and endive and beef short rib with potato gratin and chimichurri.
