Award-winning gastro pub with rooms located in the Cotswold village of Great Barrington

A warm welcome awaits you at The Fox from the King family and their team who took over the pub in early 2022.  As landlords at sister pub, The Angel at Burford since 2011, the Cotswold Pub Partnership are well known in the local area for outstanding food, drink and service, which they now bring to this second-to-none riverside location in the Cotswold village of Great Barrington. 

In the winter, enjoy a drink next to the log burner in the cosy bar or dinner in the riverside restaurant, while a sunny day means the chance to dine and drink alfresco in the beautiful garden.   Those who want to stay can book in to one of seven tastefully decorated bedrooms, which were all newly refurbished in 2022, along with the bar and restaurant.

My partner and I booked to stay at The Fox at Barrington as a last minute long weekend break. The food was fantastic and the rooms were spotless and homely. However, the stand out was Andrea. Both my partner and me are hard of hearing, but Andrea took her time to speak slowly and clearly for us to better hear. First time we have visited the Fox for lunch with family and feel that I have to do a review as it was so good.  Staff were very friendly and welcoming making us feel very much at home.
