Restaurants in Nottingham

Nottingham’s most famous son continues to attract tourists seeking out the authentic Robin Hood experience, although only the restored gatehouse and some foundations remain of Nottingham Castle. However, modern Nottingham has much to offer – the city reputedly has more restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs per square mile than any city in Europe. The Lace Market and adjoining Hockley Village are the best areas for nightlife, but good restaurants in Nottingham are spread throughout the city. Iberico World Tapas is a hugely popular, effortlessly stylish venue, Larwood and Voce a handy gastropub backing on to the famous Trent Bridge cricket ground, and there are several good-quality Indian restaurants competing for business along Maid Marian Way – the cavernous MemSaab is consistently popular. For a special occasion, Hart’s Restaurant is well worth the drive through the fiendish one-way system, or seek out Michelin-starred Restaurant Sat Bains on the outskirts of the city.
