Restaurants in Croydon

With a £1 billion regeneration plan in action, Croydon is reinventing itself as a south London town to be taken seriously. Sitting just 10 miles south of central London and next to the A23 that leads down to Gatwick Airport and Brighton, Croydon is actually the third most important commercial area in London after the City and Docklands. The town’s two current shopping centres are about to be replaced by a new and glamourous Westfield Shopping Mall, the third to open in London over recent years, which means a wide variety of fabulous restaurants will also be on the menu. The south end of the town also offers a good selection of small independent restaurants whilst the areas around both Fairfield Halls (with its theatre and art gallery) and the Clocktower (with its cinema, library and galleries) feature some great cafes, restaurants and pubs.
