6 Spanish Restaurants near Brighton

Every year, thousands upon thousands of us pack the car or jump on the train and head down to sunny Brighton for a weekend. Not only is this one of the warmest spots to enjoy some British summer sun, Brighton also offers an impressive, diverse restaurant scene that includes everything from award-winning fine dining to easy going cafes, bistros and bars.

Brighton seafront in particular is packed with bars, restaurants, nightclubs and amusement arcades, as well as John Nash’s Royal Pavilion and Brighton Pier. The seaside location makes the city particularly notable for quality fish and seafood, and you'll find excellent restaurants all over the city serving freshly caught fish, often cooked and served in a very simple manner.

The city has long had a reputation for excellent vegan food as well - Brighton is generally a very free-spirited and progressive place, and vegan restaurants count among some of the best restaurants in Brighton these days. Vegan visitors to the south coast will find themselves spoilt for choice between restaurants in The Lanes, Central Brighton and in nearby Hove. A similar thing can be said for coffee aficionados, as Brighton has a burgeoning independent coffee scene too - there are a number of good roasteries in the city, many of which supply restaurants and cafes in London and beyond.

In June most years, local resident Fatboy Slim puts on his Big Beach Bootique, while the annual Brighton Gay Pride carnival is held in Preston Park in August. There's space for food and drink in the festival calendar too, with Brighton and Hove Food and Drink Festival  taking place every April and September - it's the largest of its kind in the south east.

If you're looking for a restaurant to visit, just filter the options on the left hand side - you can choose a restaurant based on price, ambiance, cuisine type and more, and book directly from the restaurant page.

There are also lots of great cafes and brunch restaurants in Brighton, and Brighton’s best bottomless brunches are worth checking out too.
