Stamford’s is a bistro located on Stamford New Road, Altrincham. The bistro is relaxed and inviting, open daily serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, there is also a Sunday lunch menu and a bottomless brunch. The interior is simple and modern, with wooden tables and a small bar area. There is low hanging pendulum lighting and a large window looking out onto the street. Breakfast is served from 10am.
If you’re visiting Stamford’s for dinner perhaps you may kick things off with some grilled halloumi served with roasted pistachio and orange blossom sauce, or the soup of the day served with crusty bread. Mains include classic favourites such as bangers and mash served with gravy and onion, and lamb shank served with dauphinoise potato, red cabbage and greens.
There is also a separate vegetarian and vegan menu which features dishes such as stuffed field mushrooms with spinach and cherry tomato, and a vegan plant burger served with vegan cheese, fries and vegan mayonnaise.
Those with a sweet tooth will enjoy the dessert menu which features a red velvet cheesecake, sticky toffee pudding and chocolate fudge cake. There is also a cheese board option.
If you are dining with children there is a children’s menu which covers all the favourites including pasta, fish and beef burger. There is also a children’s Sunday roast.
If you’re looking for something a little lighter Stamford’s Bistro has a breakfast and brunch menu, plus a good selection of paninis, small plates and specials such as smoked mackerel salad served with pickled cucumber and rustic bread, and a peri peri chicken wrap served with spicy mayo and tomato chutney.
There is a large drinks menu which offer a selection of good wines, plus beer, cider, spirits and soft drinks.
