About Spaghetti House Goodge Street
Head to the home of the first ever Spaghetti House after a busy day roaming around Fitzrovia and relax with some Italian wine and a plate of pasta in the four storey restaurant. Or if it’s a nice day, sit in its Italian-styled outdoor seating area.
Founded in 1955, this casual Italian dining restaurant serves up a range of dishes from your standard pizza and pasta combinations, to a slightly healthier, ‘salmone al salmoriglio’ and ‘pollo caprese’. This restaurant has a no-fuss-or-frills approach when it comes to Italian dining so you won’t find any different or unusual surprises on this menu.
Fancy having a go at making your own pasta? Exclusively at this Spaghetti House, you can book yourself onto a pasta making-class where you’ll learn all the techniques needed to create your own fresh and authentic pasta from scratch. Also on offer is the pizza- and focaccia-making classes, if that is more your speed. Each class is run by the executive chef, so you’re in good hands. At the end of the class you can enjoy your creations and take home everything you’ve learnt to practice and perfect at your leisure.
If you just prefer to relax when you visit a restaurant (cooking is usually a chore at home after all) you can sit and watch the chefs prepare your food in the theatre-style open kitchen. However, if you want your dishes to come as a surprise, the ground floor is a calmer and more relaxed space to enjoy your meal.
Once you’ve filled up on the copious amounts of carbs on the menu, don’t forget to leave a little bit of space for dessert. Try the tiramisu or affogato to finish off your Italian experience. Or go for the super indulgent, ‘pizzetta Nutella’ – a sweet take on this savoury classic.
