Scottish single-malt whisky gurus, Glenmorangie, are coming back to Soho from 3 to 15 March, with the launch of the Beyond The Cask Bar. Following on from the success of 2015’s Unseen Bar pop up, this year the focus is on the pioneering usage of wood and casks in the whisky-making process.
The Beyond The Cask Bar, at 15 Bateman Street, will allow guests to immerse themselves utterly in the world of the single malt, and to taste some unique and exclusive whiskies, alongside cocktails crafted especially for the occasion.
Guests can expect a speakeasy-style, wood-adorned bar leading to The Library Room, where they can relax and enjoy a dram in comfortable lounge surroundings.
You will be offered a menu that includes whisky flights of the Extra Matured Range: three whiskies each finished in different types of European oak. Alternatively, opt for a vertical tasting flight offering whiskies aged for 10 years and upwards.
Those who want to explore further ‘beyond the cask’ are invited to continue through to The Vault, where food is paired with expressions from Glenmorangie’s Prestige range. An 18-year-old, 25-year-old, the Signet expression and even the exclusive Glenmorangie 1963 and Pride 1978 will all be offered by the dram. Beyond The Cask will be the only place in the world where Glenmorangie 1963 is being sold by the dram.
