All change for Marcus Wareing

marcus wareing - Marcus_Wareing_Taste.jpgMarcus Wareing’s Michelin-two star restaurant Marcus Wareing at The Berkeley will be closed throughout January and February for a major refurbishment, and will re-open in March under the shortened name of Marcus.

The announcement comes after Wareing’s 10th year at the famous Knightsbridge hotel, and marks his signing of an agreement that will keep him there for another decade.

In a statement, Wareing said: ‘I am delighted to continue my relationship with The Berkeley… I want to do it better than I ever have before’. He hinted at changes for the relaunched restaurant, saying: ‘I believe there has been a gradual, but genuine evolution in what the customer is looking for in today’s fine dining offering, and we are now moving away from the more formal styles of service.’

The key team behind the restaurant will remain the same, with Mark Froydenlund keeping the position of head chef and Wareing pledging to maintain a strong presence in the kitchen.
