On Thursday 4 October, Eneko Basque Kitchen & Bar in Covent Garden will host a special one-off dinner with founder Eneko Atxa. For 48 hours, SquareMeal readers have exclusive access to tickets, meaning you have the chance to purchase them before anyone else. We anticipate that this event will sell out quickly, so reserve a space while you can!
The Basque Country is world-famous for its cuisine and Eneko Atxa is one of the region’s most renowned chefs. With a collection of Michelin stars under his belt, including three stars for his restaurant Azurmendi in picturesque Larrabetzu outside Bilbao, it’s fair to say that he is one of the authoritative voices on Basque cooking.
Atxa opened the critically acclaimed Eneko Basque Kitchen & Bar in 2016, a stylish two-floor space boasting a menu of modern Basque dishes and a mezzanine-level wine bar which champions Spanish producers.
On 4 October, Atxa will be in his London kitchen to personally host this exclusive evening. The five-course meal will include highlights such as red mullet with Iberian sauce and duxelles, seared and herb smoked duck breast and Basque vanilla sponge for dessert. Each course will be matched with a different local wine, a selection of traditional Txakoli white wines unique to the Basque region and produced at Gorka Izagirre, chef Eneko’s family winery. Throughout the evening, Atxa and the master winemaker Bertol Izagirre, will be on hand to guide guests through each course and the accompanying wine. With delicious food and best-in-class wines, this one-night-only event is not to be missed.
SquareMeal readers have exclusive access to this one-off dinner for the next 48 hours. Tickets are priced at £157.50 per person, including service charge. To reserve your space, click below.
