What: If your mum doesn’t want to move too far away from standard Sunday proceedings, head to Perilla where you can enjoy a relaxed roast. Starters include onion and lovage soup and octopus bolognese, followed by a dish of roast pork belly with salsa verde for the table.

What: Let your mum take in the excellent views from this eighth-floor venue, while enjoying a glass of Oxo Brut Champagne. On the menu, you’ll find the likes of roasted suckling pig with black pudding, and a dessert of steamed chocolate pudding with ice cream.

What: Why not treat your mum to afternoon tea to show her your appreciation? The offering at the Rose Lounge (12N-6pm) includes a selection of finger sandwiches alongside freshly baked scones, Parisienne pastries and classic cakes, while a live harpist plays from 3pm. What: This upmarket Chinese boasts opulent interiors not seen in many other London dining rooms, and is offering a dedicated Mother’s Day menu. Guests will indulge in a selection dim sum, including a prawn, chicken and foie gras dumpling, dessert and a glass of Champagne.

What: This Galvin Brother’s pub is hosting a special Mothering Sunday brunch, from 11.30am until 5.30pm. Plates include buttermilk pancakes or eggs Benedict, while you (and your mum) can add unlimited Prosecco, Pilsner Urquell or Bloody Mary for £15 per person.

Splurge: The Northall at Corinthia London Hotel, Covent Garden
What: The Northall at Corinthia is also serving up brunch, with the addition of live jazz. Luxe brunch options include half lobster and spinach eggs Benedict, and beef sirloin with Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes, while you can also add bottomless Champagne.

What: The original Farm Girl (there’s now a second site in Chelsea) is tucked away at the smart end of Portobello Road and is an ideal breakfast spot for health-conscious mums. Our favourites include the rainbow-coloured lattes and the vegan take on BLTs (using coconut).

What: This gorgeous spin-off from the Ottolenghi deli chain is done out in shades of white and gold, and offers a whole host of healthy sharing dishes. Try the chickpea pancake with spiced peas, or opt for the roasted beetroot with miso yoghurt and garlic.

What: This Covent Garden Indian is going all-out for Mother’s Day with a collaboration dinner with author and food writer Meera Sodha, with the menu inspired by recipes from their respective mothers. Dishes on the menu will include chicken marinaded in yoghurt and spices, and Nepalese minced lamb dumplings with smoked tomato relish.

What: This Michelin-starred Mayfair Indian is celebrating with a limited-edition menu. Mums will be feasting on a six-course tasting menu, featuring five-spice pickled prawns and tandoori chicken tikka pie. They’ll also bag a miniature Tom Daxon perfume to take home if they order the Magnolia Heights cocktail.
