SquareMeal is proud to announce that it has partnered with Champagne AYALA to launch a Female Chef of the Year award to celebrate the huge contribution female chefs are making to the UK restaurant industry – and we want you to have a say in who should win the award.
The new award shines a spotlight on the women whose achievements are an inspiration to everyone involved in this vibrant sector, from school-leavers beginning their career as a chef to diners choosing where to eat.
Over the summer, Champagne AYALA and SquareMeal have been recognising this contribution with a series of interviews with some of Britain’s most talented female chefs, including Monica Galetti and Hélène Darroze.
We’re now asking restaurant diners to have their say on who should win the Female Chef of the Year award. Vote for your favourite chef here and you will be entered into a prize draw to win a special meal for two with paired wines at the winning chef’s restaurant when the Female Chef of the Year is announced in autumn. The prize for the winning chef, meanwhile, is a trip to visit Champagne AYALA in 2019 with three members of her restaurant team and AYALA’s chef de cave, Caroline Latrive.
