Situated on the first floor of the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology (FACT), this all-day bar is not only a destination in its own right, but is also handy if you fancy a quick drink
before or after a film at the adjoining four-screen Picturehouse cinema and gallery space. The open-plan interior is done out in minimalist, futuristic style, with big glass windows, leather sofas
and semi-circular seating arrangements providing plenty of people-watching opportunities. To drink, expect a concise but decent selection of wines by the bottle and glass, plus draught and bottled
beers and a selection of spirits including ‘novelty’ absinthes and vodkas. You can even take your tipple with you when you’re watching a film – just ask for a plastic glass. Note that opening times
are extended if there are late-night screenings.
