This Kickstarter-funded project, from French-Sicilian chef Camille Tardieu, is a casual space which serves a menu of dishes combining southern French, Sicilian and Mediterranean cooking with the odd Asian ingredient and technique.
The menu at Cérès changes monthly, but dishes you might find include seared scallops with cauliflower cream and carrot tempura, or perhaps Wagyu beef tataki with grilled bone marrow and creamed aubergine. Desserts, meanwhile, see a weekly gelato special, or a cheese course featuring a selection of British cheeses.
Guests can opt for a three-course prix-fixe menu, or dine from the à la carte. On Saturdays, there is a ‘brioche brunch’ centred round baked breads and pastries, while Sunday sees a Mediterranean alternative to a roast, featuring slow-cooked meats and whole fish accompanied by homemade pastas.
The wine list also champions the Med, highlighting boutique vineyards from across southern Europe, alongside craft beers brewed in London.
