Now in the beautiful Victoria area of Westminster, after relocating from St James, Al Duca brings a slice of Italy to one of London’s most popular areas. You won't find much fuss or formality at Al Duca, instead, you'll be welcomed in by a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The team is at the helm of chef Gianni Andolfi, who is proud to have curated a menu of classic Italian dishes with plenty of passion in the kitchen. From small bite cicchetti to indulgent desserts, Al Duca has it all, with a whole load of good food.
While you peruse the menu, make sure to order the bread basket with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar to nibble on. From the fritti selection, you can choose from fried squid with nduja lemon wedges, zucchini fritti with lime mayo, and arancini filled with truffle and mozzarella. If you find one that you just can't get enough of, you may even be able to order it in a main size portion.
For lovers of cheese and meat picky bits, check out the salami and formaggi, with culatta superior cured pork ham, grilled goat cheese with honey and walnut, beef bresaola with rocket and grana and gorgonzola. Then, the antipasti selection includes everything from bruschetta with warm spinach butter and anchovies, mixed root vegetables with pomegranate and truffle oil, and oven baked burrata with cherry tomato and black olives.
Moving onto the mains, we immediately noticed the delicious, homemade pastas. There's an orecchiette pasta with prawns, garlic, chilli and cherry tomatoes, a macaroni with beef shin ragu, parmesan and black pepper, and paccheri with Cornish crab and datterini tomatoes.
