SquareMeal Review of
Tommi's Burger Joint Chelsea
The King's Road isn't the most obvious place for a punky Scandinavian burger joint, but locals should be grateful to the brains behind Reykjavik import Tommi's for successfully landing something so Shoreditch in this otherwise pristine area. Rock up, order at the bar, swig an Icelandic pale ale and wait amid fairy lights and grungy posters on chalk-scrawled walls. Roughly cut steak burgers (cooked 'medium') are the pick of the menu, sat in a soft white bun loaded with red onion, mustard and ketchup – although our Italian version (a monthly special) came nicely loaded with pesto and Parma ham. The sheer scope of the condiment shelf can overwhelm but, with prices so low, we'd recommend splurging an extra quid on some béarnaise sauce to dunk your sweet potato fries in. Milkshakes and free coffee top it all off.
