SquareMeal Review of
The Westbridge Restaurant
Positioned to take full advantage of Stratford International Station and the Olympic Park, this High Street hotel offers a more personal alternative to the area’s chains and huge developments. Its ground-floor restaurant keeps things casual and fresh, with a neutral colour scheme and minimal decor – it also has the bonus of a secluded rear terrace. The seasonal menu is mostly executed with aplomb and offers solid value, with dishes including poached chicken roulade and roasted lamb rump. And, this being a hotel, there’s an afternoon tea menu too. Expect professional, friendly service and a mean range of mocktails; in addition to being a halal restaurant, the Westbridge is an alcohol-free zone, so indulge yourself with chocolate souffle instead.
