The Westbridge Restaurant
Positioned to take full advantage of Stratford International Station and the Olympic Park, this High Street hotel offers a more personal alternative to the area’s chains and huge developments. Its ground-floor restaurant keeps things casual and fresh, with a neutral colour scheme and minimal decor – it also has the bonus of a secluded rear terrace. The seasonal menu is mostly executed with aplomb and offers solid value, with dishes including squid ink tagliatelle with king prawns and spinach and four cheese pithiviere. And, this being a hotel, there’s an afternoon tea menu too. Expect professional, friendly service and a mean range of mocktails; in addition to being a halal restaurant, the Westbridge is an alcohol-free zone, so indulge yourself with triple chocolate mousse instead.
