We ate here on a Friday evening around 6pm. The food was excellent and especially good quality for the prices. However ... the restaurant area is right next to the bar, and was indescribably noisy. Unfortunately this spoiled the whole experience as we had to literally shout across the table in order to be heard. It would have been nice to have had a more relaxing experience and we would have stayed longer if that had been the case, but instead we simply got the bill and left. Maybe during the week it's quieter, but I can't help feeling that this should either be a bar or a restaurant, but doesn't work as both combined at busy times. The bar creates too much noise and there is no real soundproofing, which has dragged its rating down. Shame, as the food really was good and if they sorted out the noise levels I would go back.
