SquareMeal Review of The Dugout

The World Cup, Wimbledon, The Commonwealth Games, wickets falling at Old Trafford and women’s mud wrestling in Wigan (for all we know) – if it’s live sports action you’re after, The Dugout at Belushi’s is your boy. With its squishy sofas, table footie, a big HD screen, Xbox games, pinball, beer pong tables, continuous grub, buckets of booze and a room for you and your mates to colonise until the wee small hours, this place is the kidult couch-potato’s dream. Swig international bottled beers, chug lager by the jug and chow down on ‘dig-in sharers’ such as ‘humungos’ nachos, hot dogs, steaks, mac ’n’ cheese, ranch-style salads, burgers or ‘sliding tackle’ (eight sliders plus a ‘mountain’ of fries and toppings for £16.95). Jam jar cocktails from just £5.50 include Bramble, Four Roses cherry mash sour and Southern Comfort punch.
