Caviar dealer-turned-restaurateur Gavin Rankin recently expanded Bellamy's, replacing what was the venue’s in-house
provisions shop with a swanky new, evenings-only cocktail bar. Done out with vintage European posters and Terence Donovan photographs on soft crimson walls, plus geometric blue floor tiles, blue
leather banquettes and wood-panelled booths, it makes a sophisticated, elegant setting for French wines, fizz and classic cocktails with familiar names such as Cosmopolitan, Bellini, Margarita or
Old Fashioned – all shaken by dapper mixologists behind a French lava-stone bar. During the working week, the space also operates as a daytime oyster bar, serving light lunches and snacks – from
bivalves au naturel to Cornish crab cocktail, smoked eel mousse and salmon sashimi. Also look out for signature toasted open sandwiches loaded with anything from duck rillettes or potted shrimps to
goats’ cheese and honey.
