The Artisan Bistro

Squaremeal Review of The Artisan Bistro ?

This handsome little bistro slipped under the radar when it opened early in 2016 and deserves more widespread acclaim. The narrow site is simply attired with bare tables and vivid artwork and also operates as a wine bar for locals (our G&T made with Surrey’s Silent Pool gin was a revelation); obvious TLC has gone into the 50-odd list of wines by the glass. However, it’s the modern European menu – arriving via the chef’s native Washington DC – that’s the draw. We started with Padrón peppers served with juicy segments of orange and a sherry drizzle, and also tried some excellent wedges of breadcrumbed aubergine. The undoubted star of the show, though, was a main-course lobster mac 'n' cheese: a rich, gooey, meaty bowl of indulgence. To finish, passion-fruit meringue was perhaps too sweet, but this was a minor slip. Great food and charming service make Artisan an accomplished little package.

Thoroughly enjoyed both the food and service

Aug 2016

I recently visited The Artisan Bistro and I can safely say I am impressed. The Hollywood Road located restaurant really went above my expectations; the service is impeccable, location lovely and food sublime. The squid ink polenta prawns would be my recommendation for starters, delicious, whilst the calamari is still great too. I also enjoyed the wine - a Pinot Noir, Vidal Reserve, Hawkes Bay. It was on the sweeter side but worked well for a red you can enjoy on a hot summers evening. Very...

The Artisan Bistro Chelsea Style Devoured A London Lifestyle Blog :: The Artisan Bistro Chelsea Style Devoured

Artisan Food has become somewhat a craze in recent years, I mean the rise in self-confessed "foodies" and people generally just becoming more interested in food means that London needs to cater for the masses. Give the people what they want, goddamit.
That&s exactly what The Artisan Bistro does.
The Artisan Bistro, located on Hollywood Road in Cheslea, "showcases a truly innovative take on the Mediterranean cuisine serving small plates alongside traditional favorites" and these favourites include Lobster Mac&n&Cheese to Scottish Sirloin. Before booking, naturally I pondered the menu which...

We were invited to dine at the wonderful restaurant The Artisan Bistro in Chelsea. Plamen Yankov and top American chef Georgi Yaneff bring us this lovely little restaurant which serves up locally sourced ingredients in a Mediterranean style.
Most of the articles about The Artisan Bistro talk about their signature Lobster Mac ‘n’ Cheese. But in our opinion, they have so much more to offer. So much, that Plamen decided to not let us try the Lobster Mac n Cheese. Not that we’re complaining.

Quiet eating :: Quieteating The Artisan Bistro

Sometimes I’m accused of needing to practice my ABCs on account of my almost inscrutable writing. I’ve been told that it seems slightly at odds with my job as it is full of minute points and thrust of words. So it seems strangely apt that I would end up at Artisan Bristro Chelsea. A place to practice my ABCs or perhaps just my awkward sense of humour.

In fashionable west London, this fairly new (they opened in 2016) restaurant has bravely undertake to provide reasonably priced, excellent quality food in a relaxed yet homely atmosphere. The restaurant itself was done in calming and pleasing wood, with...
