We’re excited to announce that the pub is still undergoing changes and improvements with plans in place continuing throughout 2019, including a refresh of the interior. So far an entire new kitchen team, led by new Head Chef Lewis, have successfully launched delicious seasonal menus throughout 2018 and there are plenty of other plans underway.
Our quintessential English pub is set in the beautiful picturesque Surrey Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and has charm and a cosy feel about it. In the summer months you can enjoy a cool pint of beer or a glass of chilled wine in our extensive garden, whilst eating and relaxing with friends and family or, when it gets a bit colder, come and sit by one of our roaring wood fires.
Our delicious homemade food is cooked using fresh ingredients and served all day by our amazing kitchen team, led by Lewis. With the very simple goal of pub food done very well Lewis is leading the team to deliver exceptional food that’s a perfect blend of traditional and modern cuisine.
You can enjoy a mouth-watering Sunday roast, indulge in a meal with friends and family, or a romantic dinner for two, have a quick lunch stop along your walk in the beautiful countryside, or a bite to eat and a pint of local beer on your cycle ride – everyone is welcome! We also cater for special occasions and corporate events. We welcome children and the whole pub is dog-friendly, we just ask they be kept on leads. (The dogs, that is, not the children.)
