Squaremeal Review of Sway ?

In January 2016, Sway, the self-proclaimed ‘Holborn’s adult playground’, unveiled a £1m makeover of its bar, dancing and party venue. In the ground-floor bar and kitchen, a yellow neon sign exclaims ‘gorgeous’: part of the busy new ‘1950s urban slick meets steampunk’ decor, geared to attract the youngish, smart-casual, office crowd. Order craft beers and classic cocktails – Mai Tai, French Martini, Piña Colada, all at £8.50 – from the main bar, or from a chap marooned like a jack-in-the-box in a strange square wooden enclosure. Look out for bargain deals on booze (wine, £12 a bottle) and food (a range of largely Mediterranean-influenced small plates at two for £14). Alternatively, order pizzas and boards to share. Shots, sharing cocktails and bubbles help fuel the Ibiza-style mayhem in the downstairs club rooms (open later in the week), along with a state-of-the-art sound system. Dress code: think ITV dating show, Take Me Out.

i booked a booth at sway for a night out on Saturday and had a brilliant time. the happy hour cocktails from 5-8 were very good and the staff were friendly and done everything they could to help us. We stayed there the whole night until it closed as they have 2 club room both with different but great music! Was very busy and ill definitley be coming back!! :)

Ever on an eternal quest to find new places, here is my latest find. The ultra chic place that is known as Sway is situated in the heart of theatreland, a few minutes from both Covent Garden and Holborn. Before I went I was told ‘think Meatpacking district meets East London’. I’ve been to NYC but the Meatpacking District wasn’t where you went way back when, I was intrigued. It looks smallish (albeit very stylish)
