About

St Margaret's Tavern is a popular gastro pub located in the heart of the local community of Twickenham. Just a short walk away from Twickenham Stadium, St Margaret’s Tavern offers both the local clientele and passers by a comfortable and cosy setting to enjoy some classic British pub grub.

The large outdoor terrace, vibrant beer garden and rustic interior - kitted out with a roaring fireplace, make this impressive building a great place to visit. The menu at St Margaret's Tavern is a pairing of pub classics with modern influence, with an array of tasty dishes on offer. Oxtail nuggets with maple gravy, spicy Korean fried cauliflower, and creamy mac and cheese croquettes can all be found on the restaurant’s menu at St Margaret’s Tavern. For those seeking comfort, the fish finger burger and chicken and leek pot pie are hearty options, reminiscent of cherished home cooked meals. It would be rude not to squeeze in a side, especially when truffled mac and cheese, loaded nacho fries and beef dripping chips are on the menu.

Similarly, the desserts look just as good, with vanilla poached strawberry Eton mess and a dark chocolate brownie with salted molasses and coffee ice cream available. The Sunday menu offers roast chicken, beef and porchetta, along with a vegan Wellington, served with fluffy roast potatoes, mixed kale and mulled red cabbage, maple-roasted carrots, a puffy Yorkshire pudding and plenty of gravy.

Another thing you'll find at St Margarets Tavern on a Sunday is a lively pub quiz. The gastro pub also plays plenty of live sports, and hosts a fair amount of live music and entertainment from independent musicians and performers.

Eberything you want

Lovely night at the pub tonight catching up with friends. The staff here are great, Alex and David were so good I asked their names and felt they deserved a drink. If you're looking for a nice place with great service to have a pint, look no further.

The cover review seems to be about 2 years out of date. St Margarets has gone all posh now! Well executed food, friendly service and good music. It's not the cheapest, but then it's not massively expensive either. Generally I think it's pretty good value for money. It is also much more a winter pub than a summer pub and really comes alive on cold dark nights. Get that fire on boys, i'm bagging the sofa!

Talk about Gastro 'Chic'
We have dine here within the last 90 days and on more than one occasion. St Margarets serve very decent food, have a lively atmosphere, popular with young hipsters. Probably serving the best gastro pub food in the area. A gem.
