first time treat
Went inside the restaurant when passing, and pre booked a table for later in the week. On arrival, we were greeted by a smartly dressed, amiable and courteous young man. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and comfortable, with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Our meal consisted of the scallop starter, mains of Silver Hake which was both presented and cooked perfectly. While cod, chips and peas may not be the star item on the menu, that which I received I 'm sure would more than match anything else on offer. Dessert was cheesecake, and quite possibly the finest dessert I have ever had in any restaurant. The coffee and assorted beers were exceptional; altogether making our evening at the restaurant a delightful and memorable occasion. I should mention that all the staff were super efficient, friendly, helpful and attentive, with great attention to detail. Unfortunately we will not be regular customers as we live 250 miles away, but look forward to a return visit as soon as possible. Thank you for such a happy and memorable experience.
