SquareMeal Review of
Printers and Stationers
Don’t be fooled by the name, you'll find no photocopying paper or Pritt sticks here. Instead, expect plenty to wet your whistle at the bijou bar attached to this charming wine & food emporium
set in a converted Victorian workshop. Marché aux Puces styling, a St Germain beatnik soundtrack, a dinky city garden & packaging from 1950s comestibles are lovely, but everyone is here for
‘les vins’. A regularly refreshed selection of reasonably priced goodies, mostly from small independent growers, reflect the owner’s French origins. Pay corkage (£9) on anything from the reasonably
priced offerings on the shelves, or enjoy a limited selection by the glass. Sip organic vin de pays, full-bodied Burgundy or, perhaps, a gutsy Cahors over a plate of charcuterie or cheese with
crusty artisan breads. Cidre, bloody Mary & croques complete the Clochemerle vibe.
