influences alongside more traditional tastes. You could begin with mezze – borek, dolma, haloumi etc – ahead of lamb shish or a mixed grill; otherwise, follow the western trail with beer-battered
cod and chips, mussels in white wine or fillet steak au poivre. Set menus stay on Turkish territory and represent very fair value.
A small bar dispenses colourful cocktails plus Budvar and Beck’s Vier by the pint, while the wine list has plenty of sub-£20 offerings with a Turkish duo occupying the coveted ‘one up from house’
