The hotel’s two private dining rooms are located in the hotel’s Chinese restaurant Min Jiang on the top floor, and in the ground-floor Park Terrace.
Min Jiang’s PDR, Chong Qing, seats up to 20 and is behind a glass wall, so you don’t miss out on the sweeping views of Hyde Park. It’s worth ordering the signature wood-fired Peking duck in advance; it’s great for sharing and breaking the ice. Featuring deep reds, mirrored walls and high ceilings, it’s distinctly oriental in its décor. Set menus start from £40 per person for lunch or £60 per person for dinner.
The 40-cover Park Terrace is modern British in its menu, and the space is flooded with light thanks to massive picture windows. Perhaps lacking the wow-factor of Chong Qing, it makes up for it in good-value food that is seasonally sourced. The wine list is pretty impressive too.
