With a La Marzocco coffee machine as its focal point, this café (just next to the Ballroom at The Dorchester) wears its heart on its sleeve and it’s no doubt that the baristas make some of the finest coffee in London. Beans come from south London roasters Alchemy, caffeine fanatics making a selection of brews that are really worth exploring. Of course, there are plenty of tempting treats to go with it, from pastries and fruit in the morning to salads and sandwiches until 10pm, as well an enticing display of cookies, cupcakes and homemade fudge, to go or to stay.
My morning coffee is something I simply cannot do without. The aroma of a freshly brewed cup that warms you and wakes you up and gets you ready for the day ahead is not a luxury, for me it’s a necessity. To truly relax and indulge in my coffee, I firstly need the sprog to remain asleep for the duration of my coffee (A feat harder than it sounds as he has a coffee sixth sense!) and secondly for someone to make it for me.The latter is at least easier to come by, for a price. And if you find yourself in the Park Lane area, there’s a new player on the scene so you can indulge even more!
