Squaremeal Review of Nama ?

We love this ultra-cool vegan restaurant, where the cooking brims with imagination and sheer deliciousness. Uncompromising purity sums up Nama’s food philosophy – and its influence is palpable from breakfast through to supper. As well as conjuring up inventive salads and juices, the kitchen has a clever way with vegetables, fruit, nuts and spices, reinventing the likes of Mexican chilli, Thai curry, pizza, sushi, pancakes and pasta. ‘Rice’ is marinated kohlrabi fragments, ‘lasagne’ spiralised courgettes, ‘sour cream’ comes from cashews and ‘Parmesan’ from almonds. There’s also coffee, cake and even alcohol in this parallel universe. The clean, spare room has a strong Nordic vibe, with space for 25 on the sunny ground floor and 25 more below. Inspirational cookery courses in raw food techniques are held here. Nama also caters for private events: this food hits all the right buttons in the media-savvy worlds of fashion, beauty and design.

    Andrea's Passions :: Nama Foods: A Raw Affair

    A visit to Nama restaurant has been long overdue on my to-do list. For so long I have wanted to check out their all-raw menu and see for myself if it really is as good as I’d heard. It was.

    On a beautiful, clear-blue skied lazy Sunday, I could think of no better lunch date to check out this venue than my main partner in crime, my mother.

    We arrived at 1 on the dot, and luckily missed the lunch hour rush by the skin of our teeth. We managed to nab the last table and looked on smugly as the queue began to grow and grow whilst we wined & dined our way through the menu...

    Food Expectations :: Food Expectations Nama Foods Review Best Vegan Food in London

    My friend Manuela from Brazil was recently visiting London on her way to a retreat with her guru in India, and we finally had a chance to catch-up. We have not seen each other for ages, and after a walk down Portobello Road and through the market, we went to Nama for a raw vegan lunch. Manu is vegan and eats cooked foods, but most vegan restaurants in London, like Nama and Tanya’s also follow the raw food movement.
