Following the success of their colourful, pint-sized sausage emporium next door to Charing Cross Station, Florian Frey and Azaadeh Falakshahi have brought their meaty Teutonic offering to Soho and Fitzrovia. ‘Our wurst is ze best’ is their slogan, and you can drop in to buy, eat at the counter or take away from a list that includes bratwurst, bockwurst, smoky pork, chilli beef and currywurst – chopped up in a box and slathered with homemade tomato and curry sauce. All are gluten free and can be eaten with low-fat fries, potato salad or sauerkraut (unless you fancy a traditional roll). The owners also do their own baking, so you can pick up croissants, brezels (pretzels) and sandwiches too. As for drinks, coffee, fruit juices and Fritz Kola should fit the bill.
