SquareMeal Review of
George at Andaz
A step back in time, the traditional London pub at Andaz hotel has lead lighted windows, wood paneling and a proper Victorian-style moulded ceiling. While the menu is reassuringly traditional – bangers and mash, mac and cheese and shepherds pie all feature, alongside some very tasty bar snacks – the quality of the cooking sits very well in the 21st century as does the service. The drinks list is refreshingly simple, with a short range of wines alongside the usual beers and sprits, which can be sipped on while watching big games on the 3D sports screen. Prices are surprisingly decent too.
