Fernandez and Wells Beak Street
Just around the corner from the Lexington Street original, this bijou branch of Fernandez & Wells is more of a stripped-back café than its grown-up neighbour. Coffee and cake is its stock in
trade, with single-estate beans used for a range of cracking brews and a line-up of alluring sweet treats including specially made almond croissants, pain aux chocolat, Portuguese custard tarts and
all manner of sugary confections – plus breads of every description. The place is also a diamond drop-in for breakfast – try a toasted ham, cheese and tomato croissant with a glass of freshly
squeezed orange juice or grilled Scottish black pudding and creamy egg mayonnaise in a bun.
