SquareMeal Review of Clifton Kitchen

Resembling a double-page spread from Country Living, Clifton Kitchen is a pretty little café set amid the greenery & colourful plants of Clifton Nurseries. Inside, you’ll find well-groomed locals sitting at pristine garden furniture & enjoying a menu that focuses on the simple preparation of prime ingredients. Poached eggs with organic smoked salmon, homemade muesli, & Gruyère & Parma-ham croissants are popular mid-morning snacks, with chunky soups & herb scones or British cheese & chutney platters taking over at lunchtime. Children get half-portions plus juice for a fiver. For afternoon tea, carrot cake accompanied by cappuccino is nothing short of essential. Of course, the café is at its best when the sun shines, but indoor seating means it can be a year-round treat.
