Yes, it’s another burger brand aimed unapologetically at the hungry hipster market, but Bukowski does things just differently enough. First there are the chips (chunky) and then there are the condiments (homemade), and if that weren’t enough, the burgers are made from Hereford beef and cooked in a Josper oven – a superpower char-grill often found in Michelin kitchens. The short roster of burgers includes the ‘purist’ (exactly as it sounds), the challenging ‘obese gringo’ (two patties, candied bacon, and jalapeño mustard) and an always inventive monthly special. To drink, expect a handful of beers and ciders including Meantime and Hopdaemon. This blossoming burger brand now has branches in Brixton, Shoreditch and Soho.
