The Brasserie at Pennyhill Park
The Latymer restaurant may be Pennyhill Park’s answer to special-occasion dining, but for a more casual meal, the Brasserie is ideal. Overseen by Prague-born head chef Roman Zalaba, the cooking is unpretentious yet elegant, with an emphasis on modern British and European flavours – making the most of the ingredients of the Surrey countryside. There’s a buffet-style set up for breakfast and lunch, but dinner is slightly more formal, offering the traditional three-course format. The Sunday lunch carvery – providing the likes of prawn cocktails and smoked salmon, classical roasts, and proper puds, accompanied by a jolly live jazz trio – is a favourite with local families.
