SquareMeal Review of
An ideal fuelling point for those visiting the Barbican, the menu comfortingly familiar, but the standards the restaurant has set itself mean that diners are guaranteed a good meal. Stringent sourcing guarantees that beef come from cows that have lived a happy life frolicking in the Lake District and chickens have had a free old time in their short lives in Kent. Burgers are well stacked, with a sensible series of combinations; chicken comes direct from the rotisserie – our tip is to have one to share with a companion. Finish with a seriously good pecan pie or one of their sensational shakes. You should leave replete, but without having taken out a second mortgage – prices are remarkably reasonable.
