SquareMeal Review of
Brigit’s Bakery Covent Garden
A very bubbly, feminine outfit, Brigit's Bakery goes about its business as a traditional salon de thé, with the emphasis on Gallic patisserie and all manner of sweet and savoury treats. Kick-start
proceedings with a proper French breakfast (croissants, baguettes et al), or nip in during the day for coffee with assorted croques, clubs, quiches and salads, plus delectable home-baked cakes and
cookies. Otherwise, lounge on one of the sofas and take afternoon tea with macarons, scones, dainty sandwiches and suchlike: if you book
ahead, they will even lay on a special spread for you. There are also special late-supper deals for the Covent Garden theatre crowds (Thurs-Sat only): plates of charcuterie, cheese and homemade
lasagne are the mainstays, with cake, wine or beer included.
