Fans of South West London’s five-strong café chain Brew should be making their way to Kew: Founded by Australian Jason Wells, Brew now has its first-ever restaurant, housed in a converted post office next to the station. It’s serving up quality coffee (you can always rely on the Aussies for that in London), as well as burgers and wood-fired pizzas. The menu then expands to become a globally-inspired affair, including barramundi served with miso mash and vegetables, infused with Asian dashi butter. Salads include Bengali aubergine and tofu with pomegranate and spices, with banoffee pie being one of the options for some final indulgence. The use of fresh herbs and veg is a sure winner, especially as it all comes from the group’s very own farm in the Chilterns.
