This is the UK debut for Turkish grill chain Ali Ocakbasi, which already operates sites in Istanbul, Amsterdam and Vienna. Housed just off Leicester Square, the restaurant serves a menu which fuses traditional and modern Anatolian cuisine, with signature grilled dishes including kebab served with aubergine, and cubes of marinated chicken. Elsewhere on the menu, you’ll find meatballs stuffed with onions and bulgur wheat, and a range of salads, breads and gluten-free baked goods. Ali Ocakbasi is earmarked for a European roll-out, so watch this space.
