Known for customisable bao buns and a fantastically tasty Pan Asian menu packed full of vibrant sharing plates that feel made for group dining. In fact, private and group dining is another string to the Yuu Kitchen bow, and this Spitalfields restaurant has hosted all group dining occasions from birthdays and anniversaries to family get-togethers and corporate dinners.
It’s a deceptively large restaurant, with several areas for group dining, whether that be for groups of up to ten at a high-top table, or up to 28 at the lengthy chefs table. For larger group dinners at Yuu Kitchen, the restaurant can accommodate up to 66 guests across a variety of seating and up to 90 for more casual events with a mixed seating and standing arrangement. The atmosphere here blends traditional restaurant architecture known from Japan and Korea, so there’s plenty of space for counter dining, natural light wood and bamboo accents, interesting artworks and murals, and urban-cool design elements.
Naturally, the menu at Yuu Kitchen is one of the greatest draws with private dining here. And blessed with an open kitchen counter, you and your party can get right in on the action. For group dining, dishes at Yuu Kitchen might include bar snacks like edamame, prawn crackers with sweet chilli sauce or chilli rice crackers. There’s also a great selection of vegetarian bites, offering up Vietnamese spring rolls, classic miso soup, and cauliflower with jalapeno ponzu.
That being said, group dinners at Yuu Kitchen are best known for the signature Manga Bao Buns - all of which have printed images of manga characters. To make your group dining event even more special though, you’ll also have the chance to send over your own imagery to be printed on your bao - just be sure to give the team enough notice!
