Conveniently located outside Cannon Street and Bank stations, Vinoteca City is a popular spot for working lunches, after-work drinks and leisurely meals on weekends. This particular outpost of Vinoteca manages to combine the spontaneity and laid-back charm of a wine bar with the upmarket style of a bistro, making it as suited to business as to pleasure – much like its private dining room.
The private room at Vinoteca City is situated on the mezzanine level so parties of up to 42 seated or 50 standing guests can enjoy views over the restaurant while being cosseted by wine cabinets that showcase Vinoteca's characterful collection. The space comes fully equipped with Wifi, a projector and screen, and the option to play your own music, and there are a variety of configurations available. For meetings and intimate private lunches and dinners, Vinoteca City can provide a single table seating for up to 20 guests (boardroom style). For larger seated gatherings, the team can provide three separate tables in order to accommodate up to 42 seated guests. For less formal drinks receptions, the tables can be moved to allow space for up to 50 people.
Whether you’re hosting a client dinner, board meeting, ticketed event, or celebration such as a birthday or retirement party, it’s worth kicking things off with a wine tasting, sparkling wine or aperitifs such as a seasonal Prosecco Spritz or a classic Negroni. You and your guests can then tuck into freshly-made canapés or one of two seasonally-inspired menus. Choose between the seasonal daily menu and the slightly more expensive seasonal chef’s menu. Both offer three courses with a number of options for each, so it just comes down to your budget and tastes.
Vinoteca’s signature style of providing simple British and European food made using ingredients from small trusted suppliers and producers mean guests can look forward to dishes such as pork rillettes with cornichons and red onion marmalade, roast Gressingham duck breast with parsnip purée, confit potatoes and a port reduction, and chocolate tart served with Chantilly cream and Cointreau clementines.
Given that wine is Vinoteca’s speciality, you’ll be able to choose from the multi-award-winning wine list of over 200 bins or, if you’d rather leave it to the experts, ask the team to suggest a range of seasonal wines that pair perfectly with your menu.
