Sophisticated private dining comes in the form of Theo Randall at the InterContinental. You'll no doubt know this star chef whose career has spanned more than 30 years, including 15 years at the River Café, where he earned his first Michelin Star in 1997. In 2006, he opened his eponymous restaurant, serving up rustic, ingredient-led Italian fare within the InterContinental hotel, including a main dining room and private space for events. 

Whether it be an important client meeting, birthday party or even wedding breakfast, if you're looking for a truly elegant space to host your guests, take a look at Theo Randall at the InterContinental's private dining portfolio. There's the Puglia Dining Room which can cater for up to 18 guests or the Amalfi Dining Room with a capacity of 40 guests. If you need a larger space, you could connect the two rooms for a total capacity of 58 people. Or, if you really want to throw a party, you're invited to take over the entire restaurant which can host up to 165 people, for a really fabulous night.

In terms of the menu, the team kindly advises that parties of up to 10 are welcome to order from the a la carte, groups between 11 and 15 should order from one of the private dining menus, and if your group extends 16 people, then it's best to order the same dishes apart from dietary requirements. 

You could start with a canape and drinks reception with small bites like deep fried courgette with sage, fresh burrata with tomato and bruschetta, as well as smoked salmon, smoked trout and crème fraîche. Moving onto the seated meal and there are three, three-course options with elevated Italian mains like sea bass baked with porcini mushrooms, fennel, thyme and vermouth, served with Castelluccio lentils and Italian spinach. Plus, if you really want to make your event memorable, you can even book a masterclass for the group with Theo himself.

Theo Randall

Executive Chef

Theo’s passion for food developed at a young age, spending family holidays travelling across Europe and exploring the culinary delights of the continent. He started his career as a server at Chez Max, quickly impressing the chef and earning himself a place in the kitchen where he spent the next four years learning everything about classic French cuisine. Following a couple of secondments, Theo joined the team at the River Cafe, leading it to win its first Michelin star back in 1997. He stayed there until 2006, before taking the leap and opening his own eponymous restaurant at 1 Park Lane where he has been ever since.
