The Hero of Maida is a traditional Victorian pub with rooms, serving a seasonally changing menu championing local ingredients. The venue also offers private dining opportunities, with three dedicated spaces to choose from.
The Hero of Maida is home to two private dining rooms, both of which can accommodate personal or corporate celebrations. The first, and most intimate, is The Blue Room, which can welcome up to 10 seated guests. As its name suggests, this warm and cosy room is painted in shades of royal blue, but also features a fireplace, antique furnishings and plenty of natural light thanks to a large window. Guests are seated around one circular table, making this space ideal for intimate birthday dinners or business lunches.
The second private dining room at The Hero of Maida is The White Room. Located on the third floor, this light and airy room can host up to 40 seated guests or up to 70 standing. The room features high ceilings, a crisp white and pale blue colour scheme and a fireplace at one end. It is best suited to dinners or cocktail parties, but furniture can easily be rearranged to match your preferred layout.
The third and final private dining option at The Hero of Maida is to hire out the entire first-floor dining room, which has a sense of grandeur thanks to high ceilings and large windows. The dining room can welcome up to 60 seated guests and features chic light fixtures and artwork lining the walls.
When it comes to food, The Hero of Maida offers a selection of set event menus, ranging from canapes and bowl food to sit-down feasts. Expect to find hearty British-French dishes such as beef short rib with Guinness and roscoff onion pie, followed by warm sticky toffee pudding for dessert.
