If you’re looking for a private dining experience like no other, The Cut and Craft has a secret space hidden in its new Manchester venue.
The third addition to the steakhouse family is located in a gorgeous Grade II-listed building in the centre of the city. Originally built in 1862 as a banking hall, it is rumoured that there were once tunnels running underneath it leading to its sister bank. While those tunnels have since been sealed, The Cut and Craft offers guests the chance to dine in a secluded former bank vault. Named after the building’s architect, The Edward Walters Suite centres around a long twenty-four seat dining table, with marble flooring and luxurious furnishings. The space has been set up to cater for corporate meetings and networking events, with a television unit that blends effortlessly into the wall. The underground area also has a private bar area where guests can enjoy signature cocktails, local and international craft beers and an extensive wine list.
For a more intimate dinner, their Palazzo table seats fourteen, with the option to extend your party with neighbouring tables. It is also possible to hire the full venue, with a capacity of two hundred standing and the option for a bespoke drink and canapé reception.
The Cut and Craft has designed two carefully curated set menus to choose from, which revolve around quality ingredients. The menus are split across three courses and vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are available. For starters, there’s king prawns with lemon, butter sauce or British pork belly with black pudding. For mains, choose between cajun monkfish, rump steak or herb-stuffed chicken breast. If you’re still hungry for dessert, go for the sticky toffee pudding or for a lighter option, finish with a peach sorbet.
