The Arber Garden, which comes from the same creative team as The Lighterman in King’s Cross and The Broadcaster in White City, is a beautiful pub in Fitzrovia. Boasting a gin garden and dining room, it is extremely well-equipped for private dining. Inspired by legendary botanist and philosopher Agnes Arber, the pub has the means to cater to casual diners all year, as well as a range of private events. The Garden Terrace and Gin Garden are ideal for a cocktail reception, before sitting down for a lavish private meal. Sip on a range of international gins, house cocktails, biodynamic wine, beer and spirits before tucking in to a delicious meal with your guests.
Embodying an ‘our house is your house’ philosophy, The Arber Garden will make you and your guests feel right at home at once. There are two set menus to choose from, featuring hearty but elegant modern British fare. Start off with a simple wild garlic and foraged nettle soup, crispy squid with wild garlic mayo or some Wye Valley asparagus served with a poached duck egg, Cotswold cured ham and wholegrain mustard.
From here, you and your guests can move to larger plates, featuring modern, sustainable takes on pub classics. The Moving Mountains burger here comes with smoked cheddar, spicy mayo and skin-on fries, while the breaded haddock comes with triple cooked chips, lovage mushy peas and tartar sauce. For something a little meatier, you might opt for a roasted Castlemead chicken, served with heritage carrots, celery leaves and parsley root, or a shepherd’s pie with purple sprouting broccoli.
Desserts at The Arber Garden feature the finest British produce, crafted into a delicate ending to the meal for you and your guests. You might have poached Yorkshire rhubarb with vanilla cheesecake and blood orange, or a lemon chiffon cake with creme fraiche ice cream, lavender and raspberry.
