On the hunt for a private dining room in Holborn that doesn’t come with a central London price tag? Shoyu is a relaxed modern Korean restaurant available to hire for your next private dining event. Just a few minutes’ walk from Holborn tube station, the entire restaurant can be booked for groups of up to 35, perfect for private celebrations such as birthdays, anniversaries and other special events.
Head chef and founder Jose Caetano is also the brains behind sister restaurants Pad Thai House and Green Choy in the capital, making him something of a connoisseur when it comes to Asian-inspired street food. Shoyu is his latest venture, opening in 2024, and specialises in Instagrammable fusion dishes and vibrant cocktails, making it the perfect place to relax, socialise and celebrate with friends.
The main dining room boasts an array of table and bench seating that can be adapted to suit your private dining event. Of course, you’ll gain access to your own private bar, where a mixologist turns out signature creations like the Gochugaru Margarita (tequila, lime juice, triple sec, gochujang syrup) and the Shoyu Garden (green grape Soju, pink gin, apple juice).
The menu offers an exciting range of Korean classics and other popular street food favourites, including bao buns, burgers, noodles, stews and salads. Korean fried chicken is clearly what it does best – you can order it straight-up with your choice of sauce, or as an addition to other dishes such as waffles, bibimbap, or bao buns. Further highlights include a spring onion pancake with soy and vinegar sauce, shrimp gyoza, and Korean noodle soup. Groups are invited to mix and match a selection of dishes, and the team will be happy to help you create the perfect menu for your private dinner.
