Satyrio is located on Aldgate High Street in East London, an Italian restaurant and a neighbourhood wine merchant which offers a relaxing backdrop for your next private dinner.
The restaurant itself feels like a cosy trattoria, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that keeps people returning. If you're getting people together to celebrate any occasion at all, think about private dining. Secret Garden is Satyrio's al fresco dining area, which is open from April through to September, and can host up to 80 of your lucky guests, so it's a perfect choice for big groups. It’s worth mentioning that the restaurant is dog friendly for small to medium sized pets, too.
Treat your guests to nibbles of polenta chips and bruschetta al pomodoro, before enjoying delicious appetisers of deep fried calamari, a rich beef tartare or burrata with roasted red pepper and peanuts. We like the sound of the mixed cheese with seasonal fruits and carasau bread with balsamic reduction, or the wild mixed mushrooms in cream sauce with croutons and truffle oil.
Perfectly cooked pasta is, of course, on the menu – it’s an authentic Italian after all – and you can choose from the tonnarelli all'amatriciana, simple yet delicious gnocchi in tomato sauce with basil and mozzarella, and swordfish fusilli pasta with Roman artichoke, pine nuts and raisins. Other main courses include the seafood stew infused with Mediterranean flavours, a seared hanger steak with aubergine puree and roasted potatoes, and a vegan burnt celeriac ravioli with aubergine parmigiana.
Don't skip the desserts, your guests will thank you for it. Try the hazelnut creme brulee with pear, a creamy panna cotta with lime, mint, rum and brown sugar, or the rich chocolate souffle with Carlo Alberto vermouth and vanilla ice cream.
