Located within the swish Megaro Hotel in King’s Cross, Magenta is a Northern Italian restaurant which boasts a striking private dining room that is available to hire for all manner of occasions, ranging from milestone birthday dinners and family reunions, to business meetings and charity lunches.
Set apart from the restaurant’s main dining area, The Mauve room can accommodate up to 12 guests at a time for a sit-down meal. Presented as a ‘private carriage’ - a nod to the restaurant’s neighbour Kings Cross Station - The Mauve room offers a sophisticated and elegant setting for private parties. The regal space is kitted out to look like a luxe train carriage from days gone by, complete with intricate light fittings, wood-panelled walls and plenty of mirrors which bounce light around the space. Cosy chairs upholstered in a magenta hue add a pop of colour to the space, while an arched window at the end of the singular long table gives the setting an even stronger sense of character.
Magenta’s private dining room is not just stylish, but practical too - guests can enjoy the use of a dedicated cocktail bar, meaning you can enjoy your drinks reception and subsequent dinner in neighbouring spaces, rather than having to ferry guests from one end of the venue to another.
The kitchen at Magenta is headed up by chef Manuele Bazzoni, who has previously worked in the kitchens of acclaimed restaurants such as Mayfair’s Le Boudin Blanc and Trinity in Clapham. He has curated a range of set menus which are specifically designed for events and showcase classic Italian cuisine, with a particular focus on using seasonal ingredients and drawing inspiration from Italy’s diverse regions. Lovers of wine will also be thrilled to dine here, as Magenta’s drinks list offers more than 78 varieties to choose from.
