Hicce (which means ‘of the moment’ in Latin) is a modern restaurant that serves wood-fired dishes with style. For a more secluded meal, head into the basement to the Hicce x Wolf & Badger which seats 12 to 24. The space has its own bar, with brick walls and wooden chairs giving it a relaxed feel. You can also book cocktail masterclasses here, in case you want to get involved. Alternatively, for larger events, the main atrium can be booked for up to 120 guests.
At Hicce, you and your private dining guests can expect simple, punchy flavours served with flair. The ‘experience’ menu features treats like duck rillettes, cauliflower with turmeric and za’atar, cured salmon with wasabi and a mushroom terrine. These smaller dishes are then followed by bigger hitters like onion tempura with hazelnut, blood orange and balsamic, halibut tartare with Jerusalem artichokes, pear and chilli or chicken thigh with celeriac, Medjool date, chicory and sherry. Vegans can rest easy with choices like Jerusalem artichokes with vegan garlic aioli, beetroot with fennel and orange and mandarin sorbet to finish.
For a day event, Sunday bunch at Hicce is a social affair with plenty to share including various boards featuring charcuterie, bread, jars, veg, cheese or seafood. Mains are hearty yet complex, with entries like avo toast with chilli jam, taleggio and spinach potato cake, baked eggs with cabbage, potato, Hicce sauce and chickpeas or a bavette with mushrooms, watercress, fried egg and sourdough.
The wine list features ‘living’ wines that are sustainable, organic, biodynamic or all of the above, or ‘classic’ wines that celebrate the best grape and years. There are also sweet wines and sherries available if that’s what you fancy, and magnum bottles for big celebrations. To start planning your private dining event with Hicce, simply fill in the form on the right and the dedicated team will be in touch.
